Genius Hour Ted Talk

Over the course of the past 8 weeks, I have been able to take part in my own Genius Hour project. My goal was to be able to utilize my crockpot to its fullest, as well as attempt to save money, time and eat healthier during this process.  I was able to learn a lot during the 8 weeks, not only on cooking with a crockpot, but also about the Genius Hour process. I was able to see how beneficial a project such as this could be in a future classroom and how engaging it can be. I was able to make a Ted Talk using YouTube Video Editor on my progress and what I have discovered through this project.  Check it out!

  1. Lauren,
Your TedTalk was great! It really described your Genius Hour project in great detail and why you chose the topic. It is evident that you learned a lot during the 8 week progress. Your topic is very unique, and I like that you were able to gain a new skill of using your crockpot but also had the purpose of saving money and eating more healthy. Overall, great job!
